3M™ VentureClad™ Insulation Jacketing System 1577CW-E is used for cladding and jacketing applications and creates a vapor barrier for HVAC, ductwork, vessels and pipes. This conformable tape is able to conform to a curved or irregular surface. It offers zero permeability, installs without special tools and is highly puncture and tear resistant - ideal for any indoor or outdoor task. This laminate tape can withstand temperatures as cold as -40 °F/-40 °C and as hot as 300 °F/149 °C. It’s suitable for use on materials like fiberglass, polystyrene and conformable aerogel. It protects insulation against mold, UV, weather, oil and grease, chemicals, impact and mechanical abuse, corrosion under insulation (CUI). Zero Permeability Cladding and Jacketing The silver aluminum exterior provides an attractive aesthetic for cladding that is visible when finished and it is embossed to mask dents and other impact imperfections. This tape meets UL 723 requirements for flame and smoke spread and is puncture and tear resistant. The self-adhesive material cuts and installs easily on-site and without the use of special tools. The backing is flexible to conform to curved and irregular surfaces with ease. 3M™ VentureClad™ Insulation Jacketing Tape 1577CW-E is a cladding option for 3M™ Interam™ Endothermic Mat E-5A-4 and meets ULI709 Standards - UL Design Number BYBU.XR202. Meets or exceeds most building code requirements – for more information on specific approvals, please refer to the technical data sheet. Adheres in Cold Temperatures 3M™ VentureClad™ Insulation Jacketing Tape 1577CW-E features an aggressive pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that bonds and seals well in cold temperatures. This adhesive adheres immediately on contact to a variety of materials such as fiberglass, faced fiberglass insulation, mineral wool, polystyrene and flexible aerogel. It applies easily at temperatures as cold as -10°F/-23°C. It can operate at a service temperature as low as -94°F/-70°C and as high as 300°F/149°C. Once bonded, this tape will provide good holding power for extended periods with good aging properties and resists lifting and curling over time. This product is used to protect insulation against UV, ozone, high humidity, salt spray, weather, oil and grease, aggressive chemicals, impact and mechanical abuse, corrosion under insulation (CUI), and moisture vapor intrusion. It works well with many insulation types.
