It helps prevent sparks and other hot particles from damaging the filter and must be used whenever sparks or hot, airborne particles are present in the workplace. The TR-362 spark arrestor also acts as a pre-filter by capturing many of the larger particles that would otherwise be drawn into and clog the main filter.
